Watercolor Print- Dinner Time Part 2 (Octopus Rescue)
Heroic, a little slimy, and absolutely saving the day.
This print is the sequel nobody knew they needed. After the shark showed up looking for dinner, someone had to do something. The octopus did something. He emerges from his coral hiding place in a swirl of warm amber and deep purple, tentacles spreading in every direction with the kind of dramatic energy the moment deserved. An ink cloud fills the water around him. The little fish are already making their escape in the corner. The shark's dark silhouette lingers above. The outcome is not yet certain but the octopus has clearly committed.
I followed my six year old's lines with watercolor, letting the washes of ochre, mauve, and cool grey build the underwater chaos exactly as he imagined it. The composition is abstract in the best possible way, all movement and urgency and tentacles going exactly where they need to go.
This one pairs with the shark print and tells the whole story. Together they belong in any room brave enough to hang them both.
Printed to preserve the energy and texture of the original painting, each piece keeps the hand-drawn quality that makes it unmistakably his.
Available in multiple sizes, with framing options in black, white, or natural wood for a clean, finished presentation. Proceeds support his education.
Brave. Inky. The fish are going to be okay.
