This print started with my six year old, who decided the world needed a green snake coiled around a tree branch with his tongue out, ready for whatever comes next. The scene is drawn with that fearless kid confidence where perspective is optional and personality is everything. Branches go where they need to go. The snake owns every inch of the frame. A tiny red tongue says it all.

I followed his lines with watercolor, building the scene in soft washes of warm brown and dappled green that feel genuinely like light coming through a canopy. The snake stays bright and bold in the center of it all, exactly where he put him, exactly as intended.

There's a narrative to this one that you can feel without needing to explain it. Something is about to happen and the snake already knows what. It belongs in a kid's room, a playroom, or honestly anywhere that appreciates a little drama and a six year old's unshakeable sense of story.
