This print started exactly the way you'd hope. My six year old decided the ocean needed more fish, so he drew them. All of them. Big ones, tiny ones, round ones, long ones, in every color he could find. Yellow, pink, green, blue, purple, orange, teal. No two quite the same. No particular destination. Just a whole happy world of fish doing fish things in a soft blue sea.

I followed his lines with watercolor, keeping the palette light and the washes gentle so every little fish could hold its own on the page. The result is something that feels genuinely alive, the kind of piece that rewards a second and third look because there's always one more you didn't notice before.
